Our latest project extends beyond the kitchen, showcasing a versatile built-in media wall designed for family living.
Recently, media walls have gained popularity for their ability to declutter and streamline living spaces while seamlessly integrating technology into homes. These versatile designs serve practical purposes, effectively connecting kitchens, dining rooms, and living rooms. By creating a cohesive flow between these spaces, media walls can enhance connectivity and accessibility throughout the home. Additionally, they provide ample storage without sacrificing style, making them a sophisticated addition to modern family households seeking organisation and aesthetic appeal.
Our beautiful Kavanagh collection was selected for this project for its simplified interpretation of the shaker style, featuring square-framed doors and deep bevelled panel detailing that stand out beautifully against the earthy green hues. Kavanagh furniture is often defined by sleek lines, which is evident in this project, which includes the tall cornices, skirting panels, square-cut island edges, and generous shelving.
Flanking the TV, illuminated glazed cabinets with adjustable glass shelves steal the show. Soft light emanates from them, bathing the space in a warm, inviting glow that sets the perfect mood for relaxation and entertainment. For an added touch of elegance, contrasting soft green backboards create a stunning canvas to showcase glassware and decorative pieces, ensuring each item stands out beautifully.
Open shelving is an essential component of the Kavanagh, designed to enhance both functionality and aesthetic appeal. These shelves add height to the media wall and provide a convenient storage option, with a practical shelf below the TV for media essentials. Styling open shelves can be daunting due to the multitude of options available, but it’s crucial to curate them in a way that reflects your personal style.
Our exclusive brass hardware, specifically the burnished brass Antrim handles, perfectly complements the lush green tones of the cabinetry. These handles are not only ergonomic but serve as a beautiful design element that ties the entire space together. Brass accents strategically placed throughout the display echo the hardware’s tones, creating a cohesive and luxurious feel.
This media unit is adorned in stunning greens, featuring our sought-after Green Meadow and Hazy Sky paint colours that contrast beautifully. Green Meadow is a cosy, smoky green-blue hue that is versatile and understated, perfect for adding a touch of colour to kitchens and living spaces without being overpowering. Hazy Sky, with its soft green-grey shade and subtle sage undertone, evokes tranquillity and peace. Together, these colours create a harmonious and serene atmosphere, ideally suited for spaces like this.
We introduced texture throughout the space with bespoke upholstered dining chairs, statement lighting and warm wood-effect floor tiles. Every detail, from the carefully chosen brass accessories to the precise placement of each element, enhances the project’s grandeur. Adding a final touch of sophistication, an exquisite feature light from Lumière casts a soft glow over the dining table, echoing the linear details found in the stunning media wall design.
